A “Great Brooksvillian” will be honored at the Founders Week Celebrations in October of 2010.  A “Great Brooksvillian” is recognized for their outstanding and positive contributions to the economy, history and/or culture of Brooksville, Hernando County, Florida. 

A plaque will be given to the honoree of the “Great Brooksvillian” award as well as another plaque that is kept in the Brooksville City Hall to commemorate each year’s honorees.
