Walking in a Winter Waterland

“Mermaids sing, are ya listening, nativity scenes, water’s glistening, a beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight, walking in a winter waterland!”

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is inviting the public to Weeki Wachee Springs, Hernando County, Florida for the 2008 Winter Waterland celebration. Two evenings of a whole lotta Christmas fun, including a live nativity scene, story telling bards, and a Santa Express train for the little ones. There will also be three underwater Christmas shows featuring the famous Weeki Wachee Mermaids, each night! After the show, grab a picture with one of the elves, these aren’t just any elves, these are Mermaid Elves!

The fun kicks off at 7:00 p.m. and ends at 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday night, December 12th and 13th, 2008. Ticket prices are $6 plus tax for the grown ups and $3 plus tax for the little ones between 6-10, wee ones under 5 and Weeki Wachee Pass Holders are free!
